Often the paintings in the house help drawl your eyes to many other more subtle details. Such is the case here where the painting above the fireplace in the living room helps to bring your attention to the mantle and the objects on it as well as the many interesting objects on shelves on both sides of the painting.

Paintings and Historical Prints

The Catonsville Historical Society has several portraits and framed historical prints that have been donated by a variety of sources. The prints and paintings are on display throughout the various rooms of the Townsend House and represent life in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
