Interesting Fact!

Did you know Homewood House was actually built for Joseph P. Fusting, who is often considered to be one of the chief founders of Catonsville during the antebellum period? Fusting was one of Catonsville's major 19th century businessmen and was the local agent of the horsecar line. He resided in Homewood until 1864.

The Catonsville Historical Society maintains a wide variety of interesting collections from a number of different eras. Among the many collections we maintain here at the society we have:

[Picture inside a miniature model of the historic Homewood House] Incredibly life-like!
A view of one of the many highly detailed rooms inside of a wonderful miniature of the historic Homewood house.

This amazing miniature is on display in the Jean Walsh Room in the Townsend House.
